Particularly affected are SMAS lifting devices and technologies for permanent hair removal.
- In Germany and Austria, only the Ultraformer III is currently officially recognised.
- Any other device offered under the name “Ultraformer” but imported from China is a counterfeit.
Such fake machines are not certified, are never properly tested, and can have severe consequences for the skin. Beyond superficial damage, incorrect energy output can even lead to the formation of fibrosis in the tissue – and in the worst cases, there is a risk of cell damage which may contribute to serious health conditions, including cancer.
